このふたつを設定し直してみましたが、やはりError15が出ます（泣）

> 　kernel (hd0,1)/kernel-2.4.20-gentoo-r6
> 　initrd (hd0,1)/initrd-2.4.20-gentoo-r6

これも試してみましたが、やはり、同じエラーでした（大泣）

kernel-2.4.20-gentoo-r6は
　grub > root (hd0,1)
　grub > kernel (hd0,1)/boot/kernel-2.4.20-gentoo-r6
　grub > boot
とすると起動するので、間違ってはいないと思うんです。
根本的な間違いがあるのでは？と思い、とあるサイトを参考にして、もう一度インス
トールし直してみました。
大した違いはなかったように思われます（たぶん・・・）
grubは以下のようにしました。
　
　# Boot automatically after 30 secs.
 timeout 30
 
　# By default,boot the first entry.
 default 0
 
　# Fallback to the second entry.
 fallback 1

　 # Splash Image
 splashimage=(hd0,1)/boot/grub/splash.xpm.gz
 
　# Gentoo Linux
 title Gentoo Linux
 root (hd0,1)
 kernel (hd0,1)/boot/kernel-2.4.20-gentoo-r6 root=/dev/hda4
 initrd (hd0,1)/boot/initrd-2.4.20-gentoo-r6

　 # For booting Windows Me
 title Windows Me boot manu
 root (hd0,0)
 makeactive
 chainloader +1

理解してないまま、ほとんど、そのサイトの丸写しなんです（汗）
でも、これだと、WinとGentooの選択肢が出ず、grubからの起動しかできません。

何が何だかわからないなりに、サイトを見て回って、調べてます。
設定もあれこれ試してみます。
なんか、しょうもない、おっちょこちょいな間違いをしているような気もしなくはな
い。。。（滝汗）
