武田さん、木ノ下さんアドバイスありがとうございました。
現在GentooをInsatallいてあるPCがEdenの「EPIA-E533」、HDDは1999年製造の
中古５GB、電源もJUNK1,000円といった自作のものです。
MLに投稿した後、DISKのSEEKエラーが多発しついにDISKがクラッシュしてしまいました。
再度GentooをInstallして結果を報告します。
