該当個所の前後を見てみると、どうも

 If you (wanted to) unmask the ebuild, always (you should) contact ...

みたいな意味ですね。unmask → un-mask → not + mask となったんでしょう
か。そういう意味でこういう言い方ができるかどうか、ネイティブの人に訊い
てみないと分からないです。
